Terms of use

OTAless is operated by Shibusa Ventures Private Limited ("OTAless", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Shibusa Ventures Private Limited, and cover your use of OTAless: its web pages, their JSON and plain-text versions, the MCP endpoint and the Chrome extension (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What the service is

OTAless is a free service for finding short-term rentals and booking them direct: it lists stays that property managers publish on their own websites, and offers a read-only MCP endpoint that lets AI agents search the same listings. It publishes facts about each stay and a link to the manager's own booking page.

OTAless does not take bookings, handle payments, hold calendars or set prices. It is not a travel agency, and it is not the agent of any traveller or any manager. Any booking you make is made on the manager's site, under the manager's terms, between you and the manager; OTAless is not a party to it.

2. The facts and their limits

The facts on OTAless are read from third-party websites that OTAless does not run. They are re-read on a schedule, not continuously, so they may be out of date, incomplete or wrong.

a price shown is the lowest nightly rate the manager's page published when it was read: a starting rate, not a quote. It may leave out taxes, cleaning and other fees, minimum stays and seasonal rates. The final price is the one the manager's site gives you

places and coordinates are taken from the manager's page or from public reference data and may be approximate

when the search, the MCP endpoint or the extension says a stay is the same as, or close to, another listing, that is an automated judgement and may be wrong

OTAless does not inspect properties or verify managers, their licences or the safety of a stay. Being listed is not an endorsement

Check every detail on the manager's own site before you book.

Booking links (/go) and other outbound links take you to websites that OTAless does not control. Their own terms and privacy policies apply there. OTAless is not responsible for their content, their availability, or anything that happens on them, including bookings, payments, cancellations, refunds and the stay itself.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the service to look for stays, for yourself or for the people you help, and an AI agent may use it on a person's behalf. You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl or download the service in bulk, or call it beyond the published rate limits (the MCP server page lists them);
  • try to enumerate the catalog, or to work out its size or make-up, for example by stepping through ids, places or queries systematically;
  • get around a rate limit, block or other access control, for example by rotating addresses, keys or extension installs;
  • misuse the MCP endpoint: high-volume automated calls, building a copy or a competing dataset from its answers, or sending it anything other than requests about stays;
  • probe, attack, overload or otherwise interfere with the service, except good-faith security research reported to us as the contact page describes;
  • use the service to break the law, or to harass or impersonate a manager, a traveller or OTAless.

If you show OTAless results to someone else, including through an agent, show them as what they are: published facts with a link to the manager, not an offer, a live availability check or a price quote, and pass booking links on unchanged. OTAless may limit, block or refuse access to anyone who breaks these rules.

5. Who owns what

The facts about each stay belong to the people who published them; OTAless claims no ownership of them. The compilation (how the facts are selected, cleaned and arranged into one catalog), the site's own text and design, and the OTAless name and mark belong to Shibusa Ventures Private Limited.

You may quote and link to individual pages and facts. You may not copy the compilation, or a substantial part of it, or present it as your own. Place names and coordinates outside the United States come from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0, as the privacy page notes.

6. For property managers

OTAless lists facts that your own public pages state, and sends visitors to your own booking page. It is free, and it takes no commission. You can have your site removed at any time: write to [email protected] from a mailbox at your domain; removal takes effect on request. Claim or remove a site explains what removal does. If a fact is wrong, correct your page or tell us.

7. Privacy

8. No warranty

The service is provided free, as it is and as it is available. OTAless does not promise that the facts are accurate, complete or current, that a stay is available, safe or as described, or that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors. OTAless may change, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time.

9. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, OTAless is not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the facts it publishes, from a booking, a stay, a payment or a dispute with a manager, from another website you reach through a link, or from the service being unavailable.

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes, and the new terms apply from then on. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
